I dunno..
A battlin' site?
You can sign up as your favorite Pokemon..
An' you can level up by..doing things?
An' battle other people,etc;.
I don't think it's a great idea,but it's still a idea.:c

No.
I don't agree with that at all.
Most of us don't even battle anymore.
Not much, anyway.
No.
Just no.
Battling isn't fun for everyone, just some. And others even take it farther than they need to (as in being competitive). Honestly, being competitive at a children's game (yeah I said it) really does seem strange.

Re: Project EPL
I KNOW RIGHT?! I play for fun. I don't get competitive, cause it's pointless to do so. that's why I don't do sports either. too competitive and everyone gets full of themselves.

Pokemon Crater?

The RP section is for roleplaying, hence its name.Pumapardz wrote:Purugly wrote:As in... Make EPL a mostly battling site?War-Rock wrote:^Posted by Shadow on Neo,Pumapardz wrote:..Mkay..

I do not mean offense to her, but that's a silly idea as far as where you all are planning to put it goes. The roleplaying section is for making and responding to roleplays. The section might be dead at this moment, and I will admit that I don't have a lot of hope for it, but I will have to say that I am opposed to sticking this little 'idea' in there.
and i've probably missed the whole point but whatever.
OKAY!
but yes.
if you were to contain it all to one section (as in make a whole new section for it and keep the majority of the activity based upon it there), then I'd be somewhat willing to try something like that out. P:
it seems like all i do is disagree with things. :D oh well. as long as i'm not throwing a hissy fit, my responses can be dealt with.

Re: Project EPL
So it's pretty much like an RP? I think what she's saying is that our accounts ourselves are our "character", and when we RP fight, we'd get certain site privalages added, such as "level ups", "items", "pet", "whatevers", etc., right?
Not to be poopin' on the party, or anything, but a problem I see is that if we have "rewards" for these battles, it'd make a lot of people really competitive and more likely to godmod, or cheat, since there's a reason to win. In this case, all of your guys' phobia of noobs would be justified, since I'm pretty sure there are people out there who simply play to win.

Re: Project EPL
Hm... I didn't think of it that way. I was thinking about rewards for stuff to like... try to get some people to be more active. Some people don't do stuff/be active because they think they get nothing out of it. But... then... If we have people completing just for rewards because they aren't getting the enjoyment or something out of it... then...
Logic error in brain. Please wait. D:

Yeah. I guess. But there will probably still be some people that will go around being all cocky or something due to competition. (Not like that's completely preventable...)
Hm... another idea... hax/edit rom? (if not suggested yet)

But we'd need people.
Or a whole lotta time.
To make a sucessful rom, which I doubt we have either.

Re: Project EPL
Yeah. We would need a team with a ton of time... Like people that finish everything at school and can do whatever they want at home. ._.
Also the learning process... x.x
Hm... I can't think of anything else right now... We could also make something like Pokemon Crater... that too is a time consumer and we would need some people to help out.

I have less time now that I'm in Honors classes and that gives teachers the thought that it's okay to give us more homework than the other kids because we're in Honors class.
I can work on weekends :D

I can work whenever I'm not working and busy doing other things. That's... Maybe weekends. My parents complain so much so I usually end up working during the weekends, giving me less time for stuff online... and homework.
Plus this semester in general is a pain. American Lit. teacher likes giving us worksheets that take at least an hour. Actually... with most homework and stuff, it takes at least an hour, if not more.

Re: Project EPL
Speaking of art on my cleaning board, that gave me an idea. :D
I doubt it would work, but an art gallery like Dragon Adopters where artists can upload their artwork for people to look at?
Idk.
I'm listening to little kids whining for things and demanding stuff and I'm epic sleepy, so what I said might be really stupid... |D

Re: Project EPL
I think we should probably get more members. Apparently, we didn't have enough members to keep the forum alive before. Alot of regulars don't come on anymore (at least I haven't seen them), so that doesn't leave us with enough to revive a forum.
Now, to get these new members, we have to offer them a reason to join. So why would someone join a Pokemon site they probably haven't ever heard of before? After all, what's keeping them from clicking the Back button and signing in on Serebii or Marriland? What we need is something other sites don't have! That'll get more members!
And for those of you who would complain about noobs, I'd like to remind you all that beggars can't be choosers. If we want to revive the site, we're certainly in no position to be picky about new members, and we're especially in no position to be some kind of prestigious "invitation-only" site.

Re: Project EPL
well that kinda makes sense. if we're picky, no one will join us at all. so we should take all, then weed out the douchenozzles who just spam spam spam the site with useless shit.

Re: Project EPL
And that's another thing. We can't be posting things like mantra!n or any other internet meme because others will reply to it, and that throws the whole topic into a chaotic dumpster of meme-spam.
The point is, it just throws the board off topic, as it was so beautifully executed just now.

I'll do whatever I can to help the forum (like starting my tournament that no one has joined or will join, lol). I agree with Silver that we need something unique.

Re: Project EPL
Yes. But what is something unique that will make us stick out? D:
Work brain, work!
Hm...
I think after we figure out something that will be unique to our site, we should start on it and then invite the people, and get comments and feedbacks and work our way up and hopefully soon, be successful.
That was not a huge run on sentence.
Also, for noobs, as long as noobs don't break rules, it'll be fine...
